Haiti Team Update 3 – From Pastor Brent Kaser

We pulled up to the church building this morning to an overwhelming sight. Under a huge striped canopy was an enormous crowd of people waiting to see the doctors. We unloaded and scrambled to get the supplies organized and the rooms set up so that the doctors can start treating patents. Our team jumping into action was an amazing site to see. Everyone did their part to make sure it all ran smoothly.

In one room we had our “pharmacy” (that’s where we stored all the supplies), the next room is where the doctors were seeing the patents, and in the third room we set up a prayer room. We wanted to make sure that everyone that came through our clinic today received both medical and spiritual attention.

The stories we heard from each person were so varied, and we wept with them over the pain they have experienced, and rejoiced with them over the blessings. In all, we were able to treat and pray with over 350 people today!

Tonight we were able to debrief as a team for a little while. After only one day, God has done so much. Stories and tears and brokenness flowed from the entire team tonight. We all agreed that if we went home tomorrow, that this whole trip would already be a success beyond what we could have imagined.

Tomorrow is another huge day for ministry, and we are excited to see what God will do.

Until the last one hears,
Pastor Brent for the Haiti Team
