Special Prayer Request for the Ministry in Pakistan

BLESSINGS FROM PAKISTAN!

Lord has been moving quickly and in many ways these past months.  We are everyday receiving requests for more and more materials, Bibles, New Testaments, Christian Literature and Tracts.

We praise God for every responsive heart.

SHARING OUR NEED:

http://hosting.bronto.com/807/public/Massey/car1.JPGEverything is fine and good, but we have a very special need. We hope that you will pray for us, and if possible, help us financially.

We have been using our Suzuki Mehran since 2006 when it was donated by Anna Simic, a very dear friend and co-founder of our ministry here.  As you may know, Anna went to be with the Lord earlier this month.

The little car has been a very special gift and we love it very much.  But the time has come—our little car is no longer fit to drive and our ministry has outgrown its size.

God has blessed the distribution of Urdu Bibles, World Missionary Press booklets, New Testaments and other Christians materials we take to nearly 60 outlying villages.

The requests for Christian literature continues to grow as God continues to move from one village to the next.(Photo: Little Car Loaded Up For The Mission Road)

CONDITION OF OUR CAR:

http://hosting.bronto.com/807/public/Massey/car2.JPGWe bought this little car in 2006 for $4,000 used.

In 2007 I was in an accident with the car. Thank God all were safe but the car was broken badly. We got it fixed and after many welding repairs it’s working again.

But, it is not solid on the inside now. And, it has started rotting from beneath. For a long time we did not have any garage. It was out in many rains and scorching heat.

The engine of the car is not working properly. The motor oil reduces from the engine continually. We have to put engine oil in many times to drive it. Once we change oil every month, just after few days it gets reduced from the level.

http://hosting.bronto.com/807/public/Massey/car3.JPGSo every time we drive car we need to be very, very conscious about this engine oil.

THIS IS OUR PRAYER:

We pray for a bigger car, one that is big enough to take all Bibles and literature to the villages and have seating to take team members Joseph and his father Mr. Arif.  If Pastors visit and want to come along with me there is no place for them to sit.

Size is important when we have a mission trip with many far away villages and we have much material to take.

In Pakistan cars are not cheap. We can look for a used car like a 2006 or a 2007 Model. Here we have Toyota Corolla and Honda City of Honda Civic cars available that have a trunk along with a back seat for more boxes or for team mates to go along during our teaching and preaching tours.

http://hosting.bronto.com/807/public/Massey/car4.JPGThose models here cost about $9,500 or $10,000. We know this is going to be very much expensive as compared to the USA but we pray God will provide.

We thank you for all prayers, love and support for this mission work in Pakistan.  We love you and pray for you always.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss or offer your valuable counsel.

Our Suzuki Mehran has served us well for the past 4 years, but it is has major mechanical and structural problems which put us at risk for breakdowns on our missions trips to the villages. It can be very dangerous to be broken down on a dark, isolated road.  Robberies and acts of violence can occur.  IT IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE !

Blessings,

http://hosting.bronto.com/807/public/Massey/n1.jpgRoad Conditions—even in good weather are challenging.   In bad weather, the Pakistan roads are hazardous.

•Rain with potholes can make a break down more likely.

•Robbers and Islamists pose a  threat  during normal conditions. But if you are broken down, you are much more vulnerable. Particularly they see us carrying loads of Bibles and Christian literature.
