We made our way to the distant village of Wahndo in temperatures exceeding 110 degrees. Faithfully, God got all three of us grown men, along with a car laden with Urdu Bibles and Christian Materials safely to our destination.
The people in this village are very poor and depressed. Just one month prior to this visit, a lady had been accused of being a blasphemer (which can carry a life imprisonment or death sentence). It is a very serious charge and is frequently used against Christians, as a way to terrorize them or take personal revenge. The Pastor said that the whole Christian community have not slept for a solid month as the Muslims were angry and wanted to burn their houses down. It was such a blessing to reach that village and bring them the comfort of the Word of God.
The villagers had been without power for 17 hours before we arrived to minister to them. They had been sitting in the church waiting – without fans – but rejoicing in the Lord for being blessed with Bibles.
We felt honored to meet these people, and are thankful to all of you for your prayers for this ministry!
