About The Trip

A 26 member team from all over the United States will be converging on the country of Uganda, Africa. God has brought, what could be described as one of the most diverse mission teams together, to teach and serve the people of Uganda. The list consists of Four major missions organizations (Promise Child, Believers World Outreach, Saving Grace World Missions & Safe Harbor International) along with two Southern California churches (Calvary Chapel West Grove & Calvary Chapel Saving Grace). The mission team has a three fold mission while in county: First is the East Africa Pastors & Leaders Conferences. These will be two three day Conferences will be hosted at Calvary Chapel Midigo and Calvary Chapel Kampala. The aim of these conferences is to train the local pastors and equip them to return to their churches and preach the Word of God with boldness and integrity. Second while the pastor's conference in Midigo is underway Promise Child will be leading a portion of the team out into the community to minister to the children currently being supported in Midigo. They will be interviewing the children on their updated needs and praise reports. This team will also be evangelizing in the local Muslim villages, which is 95% Muslim. While those two events are taking place our 3rd ministry opportunity to serve the people in Midigo through the medical outreach at the Safe Harbor Midigo hospital. We will be teaming up with Dr. Juventine Emuku and his wife Dr. Elizabeth Emuku, the founders of the hospital, to love and serve the sick and dying from the local area. After the Midigo portion of the trip is complete we will be heading to Kampala for another three day pastor's and leaders conference hosted by Calvary Chapel Kampala. While in Kampala an evangelistic outreach team will be sharing the gospel and ministering to the estimated working 10,000 street kids that live In Kampala. Our medical team will be heading out to the un-reached people on the islands surrounding Lake Victoria. The doctor's office will be a folding table and the pharmacy will be a backpack. All of this will be done to show the love of Christ and reach the nations one soul at a time.
