SGWM Facilitates Missionaries

Saving Grace World Missions assists churches and individuals in preparing, sending and maintaining missionaries for long term international service.

As a Calvary Chapel Church with ten years of experience in long term overseas ministries, we are available to assist pastors in preparing missionaries when necessary, advise when possible, and work closely with their leadership on a continual basis. Administrative staff is also made available to assist in the needs of all long term missionaries.

What Does SGWM Provide Missionaries With?

This document is designed to highlight the Teams SGWM has in place and some of the main tasks and functions these teams provide for our missionaries.
Administration Team

Saving Grace World Missions has a dedicated team of both fulltime staff and volunteers that are passionate about serving missionaries. Our staff works around the clock assisting missionaries, family members, and ministry partners (supporters) in the variety of needs that arise in oversees ministry.

Some of the daily tasks the SGWM staff takes care of are:

1. Mailing Ministry Partners their tax deductable receipts.

What does this mean??? SGWM is a licensed 501 C3 non-profit organization that is able to receive contributions for ministry and provide the contributor with a tax write-off for their donation.

2. Help in Ministry related tasks.

Our heart is to be a blessing to our missionaries by serving them in whatever capacity we can. We desire to come alongside of our missionaries and help relieve them of the many necessary burdens that come upon them in hopes that they would be able to focus on the ministry of preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people they are ministering to.

3. Help In Missionary/Ministry Partners Communications

SGWM is passionate about the need for communication. God is doing great things around the world in the lives of our Missionaries… and we want to know about it!!! As well, we want to let your Ministry Partners know what’s going on!!! In this threefold relationship between Missionary, Missions Sending Organization (SGWM), and Ministry Partners there is a HUGE need for faithful communication on all parties. Satan wants to destroy anything and everything he has the opportunity to and often SGWM has found that one of Satan’s tactics is to destroy the communication between these three parties. SGWM provides multiple avenues for missionaries to communicate (we will address this under the IT/Website Team) to ministry partners and SGWM. As well as, SGWM strives to have constant open communication between missionaries and their ministry partners (These tools will also be address under the IT/Web Team section).

4. Help in Support Raising, Dessert Gatherings/Sending Dinners, & Speaking.

SGWM Missionaries are all supported through the contributions of their personal Ministry Partners. SGWM makes every effort to assist missionaries in support raising. We have a complete online training module and years of experience that all our missionaries have access to in hopes to assist them mentally, spiritually, and practically in the difficult task of raising support.

SGWM has found some practical events to be vary successful in making the need know. These events are Dessert Gatherings and/or Sending Dinners. SGWM will assist our missionaries in whatever capacity we can in putting on these events. This is an awesome opportunity to gather family and friends together and share with them all the call and vision you have for world missions. SGWM will also speak for you at these gatherings in regards to financial support. We have found this to be helpful to our missionaries; because, they are able to focus on the ministry and calling they have and SGWM as the “organization” will step in and make the financial needs know. As well, SGWM will speak for you at any Church speaking opportunity you have (details will need to be discussed with SGWM prior to the date of the speaking engagement).

SGWM has different departments ("Teams") to assist our Missionaries. Below is a list of them and a brief description of what they do (these descriptions are not an exhaustive list and don’t include everything. The purpose here is simple to give you an idea).

Financial Team

Our Financial Team is fully trained and constantly strives to stay up-to-date on current tax and financial laws within the context of overseas missionaries.

The Financial Team oversees all:
• Receiving of Contributions
• Tax Deductable receipts
• Payroll for full time missionaries
• Taxes
• Insurance

Website Team

SGWM Website Team is dedicated to providing a fully functional website that represents each ministry and missionary of SGWM. Below are some of the website functions.

1. Individual Missionary Pages Include:

Monthly Updates with options to insert pictures and descriptions of God’s work within the missionary’s ministry (including archives of all past updates).

Testimony of missionary and their family.

Video update of missionary – Missionaries can submit videos that can be placed on their website as well as our complete video archive page.

Customizable Hyperlinks to other designated missionary pages (photo albums, printed newsletters, mp3 teachings, etc…).

Specialized buttons for specific online giving – each missionaries page has a “Donate to…” button. This will allow Ministry Partners who wish to donate online to do so with the option of using Check, Credit Card, or Bank Card as well as onetime gift or ongoing monthly.

Customizable area for contact information (includes: address, email, phone, skype, and other information – all updated and controlled by the missionary).

Charts representing finances support required and support supplied to date (Pie graph located on each missionaries page).

Forms for individuals to request emailed updates from missionary. This is an exciting way for ministry partners to stay updated and connected with their missionaries as well as provides a simple way for missionaries to send every person on their list a personalized update.

2. Every SGWM missionary will have access to our secure “Missionary Login” site. On this site missionaries will be able to find a variety of tools to help them. They include:

Monthly Newsletter Upload – This is where the missionaries will be able to upload their monthly newsletters with pictures to the SGWM site. From there the SGWM administrative staff will make sure it is posted on your site as well as, sent out to your Bronto (our mass e-mailing software) list branded with the SGWM template and complete with hyperlinks allowing direct access for individual to get more information about you, your ministry and/or to donate online.

Contacts E-mail – Missionaries will be able to view their E-mail list they have within SGWM's mass e-mail software.

Prayer Update Upload – Every missionary will be able to upload their personal prayer request as often as they want to our online Prayer Request list. This list is then mailed out weekly to our every growing “Weekly Prayer Update E-mail List.” As well as, these prayer requests are prayed for daily by our staff and used at all the mission’s prayer meetings.

Public & Private Contact Information Upload – Missionaries are able to post their personal contact information on their website however they see fit. Also, there is a section for their “private” contact information only to be used by the SGWM staff.

Video Upload Page - we live in a media driven world and video is one of the greatest tools to be able to communicate with family, fiends, and ministry partners. It’s a way to take them and bring them to the mission field for a few minutes.

Purchase Order/Reimbursement Request

Budget Worksheet – This site will assist missionaries in estimating their monthly support needs.

Finances – Missionaries will be able to run reports about their support information and view individual donors and their information. This will allow the missionaries to better manage their monthly support as well as, be able to minister to and personally thank each donor whenever possible. Along with donor information, every missionary will be able to view thier income and expense reports and all the details that come with it.

Missionary Focus – This is the photo and basic information you see on the SGWM homepage for our missionaries. This gives each missionary personal exposure on the SGWM homepage which receives hundreds of visitors a day.

Online Training – This aspect is always considered a “Work In Progress.” Because it is always being updated and added to in hopes to better equip our missionaries for Long-term oversees ministry.

IT Team

SGWM’s IT Team is here to assist and train missionaries in computer maintenance and basic repairs. Some of the services that are available are:

1. Basic computer repair
2. Training related to website interaction
3. Computer and computer accessories ordering and input/suggestions on current modules and options.

Prayer Team

• SGWM commits all of our missionaries and ministry to God in prayer every morning as a staff.
• As well as multiple prayer meetings at individuals houses throughout the week.
• Online Prayer Requests/Update

Pastoral Team

SGWM has been in the ministry of sending and facilitating missionaries for over ten years. Sparked from the vision of the Pastors at Calvary Chapel Saving Grace for world evangelization SGWM has been managed and run sense the beginning by a fulltime pastoral staff. Our pastors have a heart for missions and a deep love for missionaries. They desire to see each one of them shepherded, loved, and ministered to on a daily basis in order to spur them onto success in the ministry. The pastors of SGWM know the realities of ministry and have each served oversees fulltime and are tried and proven men with a heart to see God glorified amongst the nations.
